Novaravia is a New Zealand software company. We pick the problems, build the products ourselves, and sell them directly to the people who use them.
No client work, no white-labelling. Everything we ship is something we designed, built and support ourselves, which means we can be held to it.
We sell to the people who use the software rather than through a channel. The user is the customer, so the product answers to them.
Our first product produces figures people file with the tax department. Accuracy is the requirement, and we would rather ship a smaller thing that is right.
The next product has not been chosen. It will not necessarily be in the same industry — Novaravia is the company, not the category.
WorthMile finishes testing and lists on Google Play in New Zealand.
The same product on iPhone. Next on the build queue after the Android release settles.
If it works here, Australia is the first market we would take it to. Tax rules are local, so each market is real work rather than a switch.
What this site says about the company is what its bank and its registrations say. Those descriptions do not get to drift apart.
The things that have to work are built so that nothing else can break them. No analytics, no tracking, nothing loaded from somewhere we don't control.
People running a business don't need badges or confetti. A streak is a fact, not a trophy.
The people who built the product are the people who answer the email about it.
Novaravia started from one observation: rideshare drivers in New Zealand run real businesses — fuel, depreciation, GST, an IRD logbook — on tools built for something else. WorthMile is the first answer to that.
It won't be the last, and the next problem may look nothing like it. The company is set up so that a second product doesn't need a second company.
Registered office and director details are held on the New Zealand Companies Register, searchable by the NZBN above.
